One of Ghana's best hip-hop artists, Mohammed Ismail Sherif who is popularly known as Black Sherif has disclosed that Kumasi-based artists, Asakaa Boys made him love drill music after listening to a couple of their tracks.
According to Black Sherif, Asakaa Boys have influenced his style of music.
“I would give all the credit to the Asakaa Boys because they really made drill popular all over Africa and even in Kenya they are now doing drill songs,” he said.

“I fell in love with drill music after listening to Asakaa Boys. I would say that they influenced what I’m doing because it had some energy and vibe which got my attention,” Black Sherif said in an interview on Asaase Radio.
On the other side of the world, Black Sherif successfully held a sold-out concert in London, on November 18, 2022.
Black Sherif thrilled the fans with a superb performance and give them a surprise artist performance with Burna Boy as a top-up.
Since the release of Blacko's ''Second Sermon'' remix with Burna Boy, the duo seems to have built some good alliance when it comes to music.
So far, Blacko has been able to win the hearts and minds of many Ghanaians and people around the world with the kind of energy and lyrics he uses in his songs.
Adding to this, Blacko has released back-to-back hits and has gained much attention in the Ghanaian music industry and the world.
