Ghanaian R&B and afro-fusion singer, Jacqueline Acheampong who is professionally known as Gyakie has announced Ghanaian high life singer, Bisa K'dei played a significant role in her music career.
According to Gyakie, she will never forget the help Bisa K'dei offered to her in the early stages of her music career.
“When I was about to start the music, I had never met him before, but someone sent my video to him during an interview. I had just dropped ‘Never Like You’.“
“He said, ‘Oh, there’s this new girl called Gyakie. She’s very talented. If she is watching this, you should tell her not to give up’.” She said in interview on Onua FM's Adwuma Adwuma hosted by Felicia Osei.
“Somebody that I hadn’t met before was encouraging me. When I saw that video, I was motivated because it was Bisa Kdei talking to me.
Before I actually became known, he was a fan, from afar, as big as he is. That’s one thing I will never forget.” She added.
The Ghanaian singers have one collabration 'Sor Mi Mu' to their credit.
Gyakie within a short period in her music career has been featured on many international music platforms such as Apple Music billboards, Audiomack, Spotify, and many others.
The songbird has won some awards to her name. That is the 'Best West African Artiste' award at the Nigeria Headies Awards, 'Woman of the year' award for the 3music Awards 2022 during the 3Music Wonen's brunch and 'Best International Collabration' at this year's Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
