Ghanaian songwriter and producer Gladstorm Kwabena Akwaboah Jnr, who is well known as Akwaboah has panegyrized one of Ghana's greatest rappers, Sarkodie for mentoring him not to focus on fame but being himself as a musician.
During an interview with the Culture Daily squad of 3Music, the singer had an open discussion about highlife, songwriting, money, metrics, intellectual property to Sarkodie, and many more.
When asked about the significant changes he encountered in his music journey after signing on to Sarkcess Music he said;
"Yes! And you and that's the part people actually don't get. It got to a point where people were like 'Charley' you go fit do this thing, why you dey under Sark? That guy is killing the vibe."
"Wherever Sark is, God, Bless him. He is been a very great inspiration to me."
According to Akwaboah, Sarkodie gave him life-changing advice on decisions to take in his music journey.
"If you want to do uptempo songs, it's fine, I can help you do it. But when you go down, there's nobody to pick you up.'' Akwaboah quoted Sarkodie.
"And this has been in my head till date, never lose yourself all in the name of trends." He concluded on an advice Sarkodie gave him he will never forget.
Akwaboah is also known as a master keyboardist who plays for several international and local artists.
Not forgetting, he has assisted many musicians to make huge impacts in the creative arts industry in Ghana.
