Music entrepreneur, Nana Kwame Appiasei well known as Smallgod who is been a culture and streetwear connoisseur for many years who later decided to become an artist has disclosed some artists have rejected his request his to feature them on his songs.
According to Smallgod, some artists who reached out to him for a feature eventually turned him down.
He made this known in an interview with Amansan Krakye on Kastle FM.
“It starts from the beat so I sit with the producers and we bring the idea together, how we want to create the beat, where I want the drums, where I want the keys, guitar, and horns.”
“So once we’re creating that then I start to figure out what artiste goes on that beat so when we finish creating the beats then I reach out to the artiste.”
“Obviously I play the beat to them and find out if they are interested to come on the beat and most of the time they say yes but sometimes they say no.”
So far, his contributions to the Ghanaian music as a point of contact has landed foreign artists into the country and Ghanaian musicians making it in the diaspora.
