No entity for artiste in Ghana be useless pass GHAMRO - Edem fumes

Ghanaian rapper and recording artiste, Denning Edem Hotor who is also called in showbiz Edem fumes at Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO) for reasons known best to him.

The rapper in a Twitter post complained about how poorly GHAMRO was discharging its responsibilities towards artists.

The 'Gbevu' president couldn't control his anger at the organization.

He captioned on Twitter;

"No entity for Artiste in Ghana be useless pass “GHAMRO” on my Mama..on GOD"



Many Ghanaians musicians have already registered their displeasure with how GHAMRO treats musicians when compared to how other countries' music organization treat their artists.

Just today, Ghanaian gospel musician Nhyira Betty also shared the worse news alert of her life after receiving her music royalties from GHAMRO.


GHAMRO paid a sum of  GH153 to Nhyira Betty as royalties. 


Betty received the royalties through a mobile money alert. She took a screenshot of it and shared it on social media.


She captioned her screenshot post;

"After five albums with 2 hit songs " yebedwire" Bema ena" Ghana Music Rights Organization(GHAMRO) sent me Nhyira Betty Official Music GHS153 Ghana cedis".

 "It was 400 the first time they started sharing but reduce to this Amount 153(hundred and fifty three Ghana cedies)"

"These songs of mine are played and performed everywhere. Pls check my utube channel for the songs talking about.''

"If 17 years in gospel music industry I get this payment share what will the upcoming ones get." 

"Recently went to South Africa last month and I heard how musicians enjoy financially.

"Some errors need to be corrected. Please share for me...pls media men we need vou to come in." She concluded while pleading.
