Wendy Asiamah Addo, who is known by her stage name Wendy Shay, insists that expensive internet data has stopped many Ghanaians especially her fans from streaming her music.
According to Shay gang queen, most Ghanaian musicians usually don't have enough music streams when compared to other artists from other African countries.
With the influence Wendy Shay has, she has urged her colleagues to come together to convince authorities in charge of regulating internet data to make it affordable for citizens.
In interview with Nana Romeo of Accra FM Wendy Shay said;
"Now understand that data in Ghana is really expensive. After doing some investigation, I discovered that East African nations had lower data costs."
"You can see how many streams they have by visiting their YouTube channel and other streaming websites."
“I believe that as celebrities, we should determine the best course of action to take.”
"Even outsiders have expressed concern about this issue frequently, so we must utilize our influence to address it."
