Ghanaian versatile rapper, Okyeame Kwame, says a lot of people wouldn’t have known about him if his father prevented him from pursuing his dream of becoming a musician.
Talking about his musical journey on Onua FM, Okyeame Kwame revealed that he had to stop schooling because he academic performance was nothing to be proud of.
“No matter the efforts I put in studies my academic performance never changed.”
“Because my results were nothing to be proud of and my dad always encouraged me to push harder.”
“I did the second and third world wars, which are now referred to as resits. I wrote them multiple times, and it become like a hobby because I was still ignorant even though I sat in class for lessons most at times.”
According to the rapper he begun to excel in his academics but he wasn’t easy for him to achieve that.
“Even though I was studying because my dad urge me, it got to a time I started to advancing academically but it wasn’t easy for me.”
He also revealed that it was his dad who gave him the go ahead to pursue his music career and he is grateful for that.
