Afro-root singer, record producer, songwriter, and four-time Grammy award nominee Rocky Dawuni claims God is using him as a medium to pave way for Ghanaian artists to easily enter into the international music market and sees himself as “John the Baptist”.
According to Mr. Dawuni, no matter what others may think, Ghanaian artists have the qualities and have the chance of getting nominated for the Grammy Awards.
In an interview with Berla Mundi at the Brunch for all the African Grammy nominees, he said some well-known Ghanaian artists can be nominated since the Ghanaian music industry’s moment is now.
“I always have a victory attitude.”
“ My nominations are paving the way for a larger triumph for Ghana.”
