Ghanaian rapper turned singer Kwame Yogot has given more details on why he parted ways with his record label, Sky Entertainment.
According to the singer, the record label he was signed on to stagnated his growth in the Ghanaian music industry.
While speaking to the drive time host of 3FM, Giovani Caleb, the ‘Biibi Besi’ hit maker explained that he is on his own now and can at least achieve what he was stopped from attaining while under his past record label.
“I had songs that would have taken me far after I released my 'Biibi Besi' song but my record label did not allow me to flow as I anticipated and that has affected my music growth.”
In the early weeks of January 2023, Kwame Yogot released a new single titled ‘I’m feeling Ok’m after he had parted ways with his record label.
Kwame revealed that he was told by Sky Entertainment not to release the ‘I’m feeling Ok’ song without solid reasons.
And as result of that he had to part ways with them (Sky Entertainment) because they were dragging him backwards.
