Renowned Ghanaian music producer Da Hammer has revealed that he is the one who urged one of Ghana’s rising talents Kwame Yogot to get rid of all his pointless raps and focus on singing.
Da Hammer in a Facebook post explained that rapper now turned singer submitted a song which he was yet to release to him to review and give him a feedback.
After listening to the song, Da Hammer was impressed about Kwame’s singing talent if compared to his rapping skills.
Da Hammer’s Facebook post was captioned;
“When rapper Kwame Yogot sent me this song a few weeks ago to review, I was so surprised to find out the entire chorus was sung by him, including the backing vocals and all.”
“I immediately asked him to get rid of all the frivolous rap that so often waters down his songs and replace it with singing verses instead.
“Cos honestly the rap took away from the sincerity of the song and its conviction. I’m so glad he listened.”
