There hasn’t been much help for me as an artist – Sista Afia cries out

Ghanaian songstress Sista Afia in an exclusive interview with 3Music TV has shared some horrible experiences she has had since she started her music career.

According to Sista Afia, some influential people always thrash her works when selecting artists for big events and this has become hindrance that is limiting her growth as an artist.

“God is my witness, I feel like I haven’t gotten as much help. I’ve completed my obligations as a solo artist. I track my music.”

“In my home, there is a studio. Since I released JeJe, I’ve been recording, and I still did it today.”

“And I’m pleased doing what I’m doing, not because I want people to see what I’m doing but there hasn’t been much help for me.”

“The people who hold you and take you places love me more than the fans. At times, I too must take a back seat.”

“I over hear conversations about me. They (event organizers) ask me to appear on a show, and I get comments like, ‘Why are you putting her on? Put this one instead’.”
