MUSIGA: August 8, 2023 slated for elections

  


After four year years of waiting, the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) has scheduled August 8, 2023, for the union’s elections.


The union postponed its elections in 2019 after Bice Osei Kuffour (Obour) ended his term as president of the union.


Acting president of MUSIGA, Bessa Simons explained that after an emergency meeting was held, the union’s road map was reviewed by the election committee led by the Peter Marfo who is the outing Eastern Regional Chairman.

“According to the roadmap, the voters register has been opened from March 20 to April 3, 2023. This will allow members check their status and eligibility.”



“Then the new voters’ register for the upcoming elections will be compiled from April 4 to April 18, 2023, followed by exhibiting the new voters register from April 20 to April 23, 2023.”


“Candidates should run their campaigns before Tuesday, August 8, 2023, elections held nationwide.”
