Ghanaian actor and comedian, Clemento Suarez has spilled out some sensitive information about the Ghanaian comedy industry.
According to Clemento on Joy Prime, his fellow comedians are envious of each other and due to this behaviour they don’t have a cordial relationship among themselves but only appear to be on good terms in public.
The comedian thinks his colleagues are filled with hatred but he is not much bothered about their behaviour because he is focused on the improvement of the comedy industry.
“On the facial it looks good, but I don’t really care. If that’s what will put the industry forward, we should just do that. If we’re fighting inside but we don’t bring it out, it is all good.”
“Comedians are permitted to joke about people’s personal lives so far as it is just for laughter.”
“I have never been threatened for making a joke about someone’s issues.”
“But comedians need to be very intelligent and sensitive when joking about people’s personal issues to avoid unnecessary drama.”
“At that time, gone in the days jokes were were created by telling stories, but now ours is more focused on recent happenings in the society.”
“The comedy industry is lucrative but depending on the individual’s creativity.”
