Christians can listen to secular songs if profitable – Daughters of Glorious Jesus

Christians can listen to secular songs if profitable – Daughters of Glorious Jesus

Gospel musicians worldwide believe that as Christians secular songs should not be something that should be listened to.

But one of Ghana’s favourite gospel musicians, Daughters of Glorious Jesus have said the opposite about Christians listening to secular music.

On UTV’s United Showbiz, the group which is made up Monica Owusu Ansah, Cynthia Appiadu and Edna Sarpong encouraged Christians to listen to secular music provided it has a positive impact on them.

“God is the source of talent. You may listen to secular music as a Christian when the lyrics moves and inspire you to act morally.”

A member of the group Edna also said;

“The present comes from God. I appreciate Amakye Dede's songs, and I like him. This in no way qualifies me as an unbeliever. You shouldn't assess someone's viewpoint and decide whether or not they are a Christian.”

 Another member of the group Monica Owusu Ansah  also added her voice saying;

 My husband and I  are Kojo Antwi fans and listening to his songs does not take away anything from us. A few of Kojo Antwi's songs offer sound advice. He(Monica’s husband)  sings romantic music. Isn't it nice to listen to some of those songs with your husband if you're married?”
