Reggae/Dancehall artist, Ras Kuuku has voiced out about the major challenges the Ghanaian music industry is facing.
Ras Kuuku firmly believes that the major challenges most musicians are facing from their colleagues is unwillingness to support each other.
In a recent interview the singer said;
“For you to do a verse for your brother man and they drop the verse or they decide not to do a song with you.”
Talking about his encounter with Sarkodie’s management team he said;
“It’s not Sarkodie, it’s Angel. Angel blocks people from reaching Sarkodie. I have sent songs to them but Angel has blocked it.”
Also revealing some of his encounters with his colleagues he said;
“The song was dropped before they called me and told me that they left out my verse. People are saying that maybe I mashed the beat too much that’s why they left it out.”
According to Ras Kuuku collaborations aids other artists to reach a larger audience while they showcase their talents. But when an artist is refused a feature, it leaves them disappointed and frustrated which can easily ruin cordial relationships they have with their colleagues.
