Talent manager Bulldog, says the creative art industry is the only sector putting Ghana on the global stage yet it keeps struggling because it needs have not been met.
According to Bullgod on Hitz FM, the creative industry must be provided with the kind of investment it needs because the sector keeps exporting the works of creatives to the world.
“The entertainment sector is the only serious sector in Ghana, yet we are still importing tomatoes, chicken, and toothpicks. We don’t import music. We are producing more music and these other industries are not.”
Bullgod also showed concerned about highlife singer Dada Hafco’s worries about the country’s lazy attitude towards the progress of the arts industry. The singer insisted if the right resources are channeled into the industry, Ghana would have reached a higher height but all investments have been channeled to sports which is not yielding any the expected result.
Bullgod who is not happy the government’s attention and investments given to football urged the creative arts ministry to invest in the creative sector since it has being generating more revenue if compared to others.
“Nurses finish their school and fly to London to work… they should take the creative industry seriously. I think only the armed forces are good like us because they have maintained peace. It’s a very serious discussion.”
“The agricultural sector and others are all joking. None of them is working. If we are importing all these then what is the Agricultural sector doing for production?”
