Musician and songwriter, Fameye is very confident about winning this year’s ‘Songwriter of the Year’ award at the upcoming Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
The ‘Praise’ hit maker in an interview on TV3’s ‘New Day’ says so far as his song helps music lovers to relate their life situations and connect with others through his lyrics makes him the right person who deserves the award.
“I should take the Song Of Writer every year because when I release my music I want it to touch the hearts of people and connect with them.”

“The award is not actually giving me the validation that I’m good but giving me some bragging rights because I know I put in the work and I deserve to win.”
Fameye ended Kofi Kinaata’s unbroken streak in 2022 is expected to maintain what he is building when it comes to awards.
Other nominees for this year’s ‘Songwriter of the Year’ are Hewale Lala by Perez Music, Diana Hamilton’s My Meditation, Piese Esther with Way3 Mi Yie, This Far from the Staples of Ewura Abena, and Black Sherif’s OH Paradise.
