Professional sound engineer, Willis Beatz is known for producing top-notch beats for Ghanaian music stars.
In an exclusive interview with Graphic Showbiz, he revealed something about himself that is hard to believe.
According to Willis, he has never met majority of the artists he has worked for due to the easiness associated to technology even though he has met a quite number of them. He explained that the most of thing is to get the work done and if that is accomplished he is fine.
“Truth is that I haven’t met most of the artistes I have worked for but there are also a good number of them that I have personally met but as long as I get the work done, we are cool. They do the vocals and send it to me then I create the beats, mix and master and we are good to go.”
“It has been a long journey but the best way I can describe the entire journey is that it has been very successful. You know we do this together and put our minds together so there are times I make a suggestion but some of them refuse to take it and insist on doing their own thing, that is about the only major challenge I face otherwise everything is fine. However, this doesn’t happen with every artiste I work with, every artiste is unique in their own way. It just happens every now and then with some of them but I manage it and we are always good.’’ He added.
Talking about his favorite artist he said;
“I have enjoyed working with most of the artistes who have come my way, it really has been fun working with all of them. One person I haven’t worked with yet and I would love to create beats for, is Stonebwoy. I have worked on a song he featured on but I haven’t done anything directly for him before. I am really looking forward to working with.”
Concluding his interview urged music lovers to;
“They should keep supporting my works, this year, I have a lot of mind-blowing songs coming out so just keep your fingers crossed and watch out for me.”
In Willis’ 14 years career, he has worked with the likes of Sarkodie, Medikal, Shatta Wale, Kuami Eugene, Ebony, Sister Afia and many others.
Talking of hit songs Willis has produced, he has Shatta Wale’s ‘Taking Over’, Kuami Eugene’s ‘Wish Me Well’ and others to his credit.
