Sarkodie always comes through for me when I need him – D-Black

Sarkodie always comes through for me when I need him – D-Black

Artist and CEO of Black Avenue Muzik, D-Black has disclosed the kind of relationship he has with Ghana’s celebrated rapper, Sarkodie.

In an interview with Monique Law, the host of Enjoyment Drive, D-Black narrated that he knew Sarkodie personally before crossing paths as artists in the Ghanaian music industry.

“He’s cool, I’ve known him since I released my first album and he released his a year before, I think we met even before commercial success.” He said.

“I used to live a street behind where he comes to record and that was where Edem and Kwaw Kese always recorded.” He added.

“So he got into the industry first and I joined a year or two after and he’s just been cool, we’ve jammed on some four songs together.”

While majority of Ghanaian artists are complaining of not getting responses from Sarkodie to work on a music project as expected, He(D-Black) has never encountered that from the rapper’s camp.

“I’ve asked him to do verses for my artistes and my producers, he’s done all of them, every single request he has come through and that’s the coolest friendship. Anytime he needs me I’m there and anytime I need him he is there.”
