Black Sherif was announced the ‘Artist Of The Year’ at the 2023 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards(VGMA).
Blacko becomes the youngest artist in the history of Ghana to crowned the artist of the year beating his competitors (Piesie Esther, KiDi, Joe Mettle, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, Camidoh, and King Promise) in the category for the ultimate prize.
Black Sherif also won the ‘Most Popular Song Of The Year’, ‘Best Hip-hop Song’ and ‘Best Music Video’ awards.
Black who was excited about his new milestone after been announced the artist of the year said;
“I dedicate this award to my mother, father and to Konongo Zongo.”
“Sending love to my rastas. We’ll be great ‘nti moda a monda’ (when you sleep, sleep well).”
He told his fans to expect something new filled with more fire and vibes in June.
