CEO of GB Interactive and artist manager, George Britton, has identified the major thing that has caused the Ghanaian music industry to lag behind in terms of artist management.

According to George, lack of professionalism in our music industry has affected the growth of our music ecosystem.

Speaking on Sunyani-based radio station, Ark FM, George also disclosed that despite the lack of professionalism in our music ecosystem there are few artist managers in Ghana who work professionally.

When asked about the things that has hindered Ghana from progressing in its music space George mentioned that very artist manager should have a plan before venturing in any business of managing an artist manager.

Citing an example, George Britton mentioned that before working with his signee, Camidoh he outlined his plans, targets and made background checks and that has worked out for him.

He also added that even if an artist manager has the money to invest in the music industry the person should on work on their skills and capabilities.
