Organizers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), Charterhouse Production Ltd through its Head of Public Events, Roberts Klah, have publicly thrashed Amakye Dede's claims of being forced of crowning Kuami Eugene the 'king of highlife'.
According to Robert Klah, Charterhouse had no role in arranging the crowning session that took place at the event.
“We did not orchestrate any crowning session. So I am a bit lost when it comes to the assertion that event organizers are responsible.”
"We work with a team. So, you give them an opportunity, and they create what they want to do. The only thing is that you want to ensure that whatever they are going to present is not distasteful, so they get there and perform their act, and you move on."
Chaterhouse's response comes in after Amakye Dede announced on Asaase Radio he was forced to do something he was not ready to do stating that;
"Though I did that, it was not my will to do so. They forced me to crown Kuami Eugene."
